Davorin Popović, born September 23rd 1946. in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was a lead singer and a front man of the progressive rock and pop band Indexi, throughout most of their career - the voice and the face with whom many associated the very image of the band.
Being a popular bohemian urban legend of his hometown Sarajevo (and also a successful basketball player in his youth), he deserved nicknames like Pimpek, Davor or simply Pjevač (The Singer), due to his unique nasal voice.
