Since the late 90's Steve Tutor and Justin Carls had worked together in various projects. With the right voice for the guitar the two continued looking for the right band. A move from the suburbs of Detroit to the west side of the state in 2001saw the arrival of Chris Larson and John Triest on drums, and the formation of The Transfer.
