Responsible for countless tapes and discs released on small labels, he has blazed his own deranged trail in non-sissy music. Football, ancient history, shrimping, Marina del Rey are all in Charlie's songs. Charlie McAlister is also a prolific visual artist and puts out Sardine Magozine, a grainy collage of sardine product labels, receipts, plays and letters to food product companies.
