Crooked Hook, a Stoner/Garage/Psyche power trio from New Haven CT, is Joey Maddalena (guitar and vocals), Jason Bates (drums), and Rick Omonte (bass guitar). Comparisons of their sound can be made with The Melvins, Goatsnake, Pentastar-era Earth, Burning Witch, Electric Wizard, Sleep, Isis and even classic Motörhead but their style, and perhaps spirit, is blues influenced with an underlying groove... more akin to Black Sabbath, Bongzilla and Dead Meadow.
