Henry Threadgill's Zooid is a modern jazz ensemble led by flautist/saxophonist/composer Henry Threadgill, which formed in 2000 and first recorded in 2001. It has existed as a sextet and a quintet. Although frequently identified as "free jazz", their music is heavily composed. The lineup on This Brings Us To, Volume 1 and This Brings Us To, Volume 2 is:
