Created at the beginning of the Seventies, Canta U Populu Corsu is still appreciated today by the entire Corsican people along with anyone who ever saw them at the time of their international debuts. Canta is without a doubt one of the Corsican “seniors groups” and surely the most recognized by far. This band was created by a group of young people loving music and Corsican traditional songs, originating from all the parts of the island. They had in common the wish to practice their songs as well as the belief in saving the cultural heritage and heart of Corsica.
