Time of Orchids was founded in New York, United States in 1999 and went on to record five albums - 2001's Melonwhisper (featuring Marilyn Crispell), 2003's Much Too Much Fun (featuring Kate Pierson of The B-52's), 2004's Early As Seen In Pace (on Epicene Records), 2005's Sarcast While (featuring Julee Cruise and released on John Zorn's Tzadik label) and 2007's Namesake Caution (on Cuneiform Records).
