Recognized as one of the leading violinists of our time, György Pauk was born in Hungary on 26th October 1936 and received his musical education at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. Before settling in London in 1961, he won first prize at the Paganini International Violin Competition in Genoa, Premier Grand Prix in the International Violin Competition Marguerite Long - Jacques Thibaud in Paris and first prize in the International Music Competition of the ARD (German TV) in Munich.
