Mick Goodrick is a profound jazz guitarist. He plays algorithmically even in his improvisations. He is the guy to transcribe to get a real feel for far out extensions over chords. He currently teaches at the Berklee College of Music as the premier guitar teacher. Ben Monder is also someone to follow.
